About

Dr. Bi Mo is an interventional pain and neuromodulation specialist at the UCLA Medical Group, with a focus on advanced surgical training in interventional spine and joint modalities. He completed his undergraduate studies at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, graduating summa cum laude in Biology. He earned his medical degree from Marshall University School of Medicine with the highest distinction and was inducted into both the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

Dr. Mo began his medical training in Neurological Surgery at the University of California, Davis Medical Center, where he built a robust foundation in surgical techniques. He then completed a Pain Medicine fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center, specializing in interventional spine and pain management. He was fortunate to train under renowned leaders in his field, including Dr. Gene Viscusi at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Dr. Michael Ferrante at UCLA, to whom he is deeply grateful.

Board certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology, Dr. Mo is committed to using minimally invasive interventional techniques and neuromodulation to treat complex spine, joint, and cancer-related pain conditions. He emphasizes patient-centered care, developing individualized treatment plans to improve functional outcomes, with a focus on non-opioid-based interventional therapies.

Dr. Bi Mo has a strong interest in advanced technical interventions, artificial intelligence in pain intervention, lifestyle modifications, culinary medicine, the generative impact of technology on healthcare, and fine art. Originally from Singapore, he is fluent in both English and Mandarin. As a faculty member at the David Geffen School of Medicine, Dr. Mo is excited to dedicate his expertise to serving his community. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and their three young children.
