Cynthia L. Fok is a 1st year MPH student in Community Health Sciences. She graduated from UC Irvine in 2022 with a degree in Public Health Sciences and Medical Anthropology. Cynthia's research interests and work experience include: (1) examining the social determinants that influence perinatal and child health among Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, and Native Hawaiians (AANHPIs) and immigrants; (2) improving vaccine uptake among children and adolescents; (3) birth equity/justice; (4) quality improvement in the delivery of care for underserved populations and; (5) community-participatory approaches. From the MCH CoE Training Program, Cynthia hopes to strengthen her knowledge and skills in addressing gaps in care during the critical periods of the life course.
