Josie Daaboul is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She holds a Master of Public Health in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. She completed her Master's Thesis entitled "Retribution over Recovery: A Review of the Sociocultural Contexts and Legal Landscape Surrounding the Care of Pregnant People with Substance Use Disorders" on the intersection of substance use disorder, pregnancy care, and reproductive justice. She is excited to further explore the field of maternal and child health at UCLA during her doctoral studies.
