Dan Schmitz, MD

Dr. Dan Schmitz is a Los Angeles native and graduate of Loyola High. After completing his undergraduate studies at Boston College, he joined Teach for America and devoted three years as a high school educator in the San Fernando Valley. He went on to earn his medical degree from UC San Diego before completing his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Ohio State University. There he trained at some of the top adult and pediatric hospitals in the country and served as a Chief Resident in his final year.
Having trained in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Dr. Schmitz enjoys specializing in the care of both adults and children. His interests include preventative care and the management of chronic conditions across the lifespan as well as empowering patients as they transition through adolescence into adulthood, where he can continue to serve as their primary physician. He is also an avid runner with an interest in sports medicine. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, spending time at the beach, and cheering on his hometown Dodgers.
