Daniel Kozman, MD, MPH
Associate Residency Program Director
Dr. Daniel Kozman is a primary care physician who practices in downtown LA. He is board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics. His clinical interests include primary and urgent care for all ages, preventive medicine, global health, and equity and diversity inclusion in medical education and healthcare.
Dr. Kozman received his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in internal medicine and pediatrics at UCLA, where he went on to serve as a Chief Resident in the Department of Medicine. He completed additional training through a Master of Public Health program in Health Services Organization at the Fielding School of Public Health as well as a fellowship in Preventive Medicine at UCLA.
Dr. Kozman remains heavily involved in medical education as an Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director for UCLA's Medicine-Pediatrics and Preventive Medicine training programs. As a site director for UCLA's residency programs at the Venice Family Clinic and as a core faculty member for the Global Health training pathway, he works to equip trainees with the resources and skills needed to care for under-resourced populations in the LA community and abroad. Out of a passion to improve the representation and inclusion of disadvantaged populations within medical education and healthcare, he also serves as an Assistant Dean for Justice, Equity & Diversity Inclusion within the David Geffen School of Medicine.
