Dr. Rebecca Rada, DO, MBA, MS, AAHIVS (they/them) is a queer, nonbinary Family Medicine physician at UCLA. They serve as the Associate Medical Director for Health Equity in the UCLA Gender Health Program and are an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine. They completed their fellowship in LGBTQ+ Primary Care at UCLA from 2021-2022 and stayed on as clinical faculty. Originally from the midwest, they concomitantly completed medical school and received their MBA at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and Rockhurst University, Helzberg School of Management, respectively. Prior to medical school, they completed their Masters in Biomedical Sciences at Kansas City University from 2013-2014. Their clinical interests include pediatric, adolescent, and adult Gender Healthcare, LGBTQ+ primary care, HIV treatment and prevention, high resolution anoscopy for prevention of HPV-related anal cancer, and implementing LGBTQ+ topics and affirming care into medical education and healthcare systems.They also have an affinity for teaching LGBTQ+ and gender affirming care to medical students, residents, and fellows who routinely rotate at their clinic. Their interests outside of work include propagating cacti and succulents, finding the best iced oat milk latte in town, tidepooling, spending time at the beach, caring for their Italian Greyhound puppy named Tegan, hanging out with friends, and advocating and promoting social justice issues.
