Teresa Hernandez Villegas is a registered nurse in the Orthopedic Unit at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center.

Teresa started her career in nursing at UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital in the Burn/Trauma ICU. Caring for patients with severe trauma led Teresa into the orthopedic specialty, as she knew there was a long way to recovery for such patients. Teresa worked in the Orthopedic Unit at Adventist Health White Memorial before joining UCLA Health.

At UCLA Health, Teresa advocates for her patients to ensure they receive the best possible care. Teresa serves as a preceptor for new nurses as well as a relief charge nurse when needed. She also has been a member of the Unit Practice Council.

When she’s not working, Teresa enjoys spending time with her family, dancing, swimming in the ocean and reading.
