Medell Briggs-Malonson, MD, MPH
Dr. Medell Briggs-Malonson, MD, MPH, MSHS is the Chief of Health Equity and Inclusive Excellence for the UCLA Hospital and Clinic System. She is also an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. In her current role, she is responsible for the implementation and oversight of organizational structures and initiatives that promote inclusivity and equity among UCLA Health staff, patients, and communities.

Kemi Reeves, DNP, MDA, GNP-BC
Kemi Reeves, DNP, MBA, GNP-BC, is the inaugural Directory of Nursing Health Care Equity for the UCLA Health System. Dr. Reeves works with partners across the health system to ensure a strong alignment between nursing practice and the strategic priorities for organizational health care equity.

Animesh Sabnis, MD, MSHS
Animesh Sabnis, MD, MSHS, MFA, FAAP, is the inaugural Director of Health Equity Analytics and Strategy for UCLA Health System. In this role, Dr. Sabnis works with partners across the health system to implement system-wide solutions for health inequities experienced by patient populations at UCLA Health and beyond. He serves as chair of the system-wide Equitable Care Committee, which develops institutional clinical equity strategy and sets priorities for equitable clinical care.

Mikel Whittier, MHA
Mikel Whittier, MHA is the inaugural director for Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for UCLA Health. He has vast experience advancing health equity and racial equity in health care.

Beckett Maravelias
Beckett Maravelias is the Health Equity Consulting Specialist for UCLA Health. In their current role, Beckett is responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of organizational educational frameworks and strategic learning initiatives that promote and foster equity, inclusivity, and cultural humility amongst UCLA Health staff, patients, and communities.

Catherine Weaver, MD
Dr. Catherine Weaver is the Medical Director of the UCLA Health Homeless Healthcare Collaborative (HHC). She is a founding leader of this innovative program that launched in January 2022 to bring the high-quality healthcare available at UCLA Health to our unhoused neighbors, meeting them where they are in the community.

Brian Zunner-Keating, MS, RN
Brian Zunner-Keating has served as the director of the Homeless Healthcare Collaborative since its inception in 2021. He is a registered nurse with expertise in community health and performance improvement. He is a registered nurse with clinical expertise in public and community health.

Emery Chang, MD
Dr. Chang received his MD from the University of Minnesota and completed a dual residency in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics at Tulane University. In New Orleans, he worked at the Charity and University hospitals, the Veteran Affairs Hospital, Tulane Medical Center, and the Ochsner Clinic Foundation. He joined the UCLA Center for AIDS Research & Education (CARE) as an HIV fellow in 2005 and joined the faculty in 2006.

Amy Weimer (she/her/hers)
In 2016, Dr. Amy Weimer co-founded the UCLA Gender Health Program, a large comprehensive care program for transgender and gender-diverse patients of all ages. She is active in clinical care, education, advocacy and research within the transgender health care realm.

Rebecca Rada, DO, MBA
Dr. Rebecca Rada, DO, MBA, MS, AAHIVS (they/them) is a queer, nonbinary Family Medicine physician at UCLA. They serve as the Associate Medical Director for Health Equity in the UCLA Gender Health Program and are an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine.
