John D. Bartlett, MD

Dr. Bartlett is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at UCLA with a clinical focus on cataracts, refractive cataract surgery, and laser refractive surgery.

Having performed thousands of cataract and refractive cataract procedures, Dr. Bartlett utilizes the full spectrum of cataract treatments including surgery for advanced cataracts, the use of femtosecond laser, intra-operative aberrometry, advanced technology lenses (astigmatism correcting, multifocal or trifocal, and extended depth of focus), and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) at the time of cataract surgery. He also offers laser refractive surgery including all-laser LASIK and PRK.

Dr. Bartlett is a graduate of UCLA and received his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed internship and residency at the North Shore-LIJ Health System (Northwell Health), and his fellowship in Cataract and Comprehensive Ophthalmology at Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA. He is also board-certified in Clinical Informatics, serving as one of UCLA Health’s Physician Informaticists.
