About
Dr. Marjan Banooni is a primary care doctor at Bob Hope Health Center. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine. She received her medical degree from Wayne State University and completed family medicine residency from UCLA. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with honors from Wayne State University.
Dr. Banooni has special interest in preventative medicine and believes empowering patients to take control of their health. She enjoys teaching her staff and helping her colleagues.
During her time off she enjoys traveling, exercising, spending time outdoors, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Barooni is not my primary physician, but she took the actual time to read over my file before my appointment, including the details of a trip to the ER this weekend. Her sense of urgency for my situation was felt immediately, and she went above and beyond to get me to the next step of my treatment with expedience. Her bedside manner couldn’t have been more kind.

Dr. Banooni put me at ease about a spot on my face that I wanted to get checked out. She listened, documented, and although she wasn’t worried about the spot she still referred me to a dermatologist to have them confirm it’s nothing.

Dr Banooni is excellent. She arranged bloodwork, Covid-Flu-RSV testing. She picked up a pause in my heart beat during exam and had an EKG done. It was irregular and she was able to get me into a cardiologist the next day.

I’ve been with Dr Banooni for 9 years. She’s an exceptional doctor who always goes above and beyond. I have 2 more Dr appointments this week - my heart Dr and Kidney Dr, and I didn’t want to have to fast again and have to blood drawn again for them, like I’ve had to before. Dr Banooni looked in my past online blood chart and since it had been a couple of years she ordered the tests they’d requested before and emailed their offices to alert them that she’d done that. That commitment and efficiency is typical of her. We live about 45 minutes away from her office now but brave the drive because she is such an outstanding doctor.
