“I saw this program as an opportunity to try to make some impactful changes in healthcare,” says Dr. Stephen Speicher, a pediatric hematology-oncology fellow at UCLA Health participating in the new . “I grew up with a brother with specials needs, so I grew up on the patient side. I really want to learn how technology can better impact patient care. Throughout the year we’re going to create products from the actual program itself, which is very different than traditional education. I’m excited to be able to go through and really learn the process and hopefully be able to impact change when I get done with the Biodesign Program. I want to empower physicians, clinicians and providers to keep on this pathway of using technology to the best of its abilities in healthcare. I want to thank UCLA Health for making this happen.”
