I was having a routine check with my gynecologist when she found a thyroid nodule. For about a year before I had been feeling anxiety but another doctor had dismissed it and told me I was fine. I won the lottery when I saw someone who understood hormones. I met for a 2nd opinion. The first doctor I saw about the thyroid wanted to remove the whole thing. Dr. Livhits talked about options. She was confident and explained things well. I had surgery 13 days ago. It turned out that it had gone into the lymph nodes but it was small. I had a really good experience at UCLA. I felt well taken care of. It was clean and nice and I almost didn't want to leave.I got lucky!
