I spent years in a cycle of yo-yo dieting, eventually reaching my highest recorded weight of 398 lbs. At just 33, my body was in constant pain. Despite practicing jiu jitsu and working full-time as an EMT in an emergency room, my quality of life suffered immensely. The weight I carried took a toll not only on my body but also on my mental health.
