“I got a call that a man was unresponsive and face down in a water fountain,” says Latoya Finch, a healthcare security officer at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. “I responded to the call and got the individual out of the fountain. I immediately started chest compressions and CPR, which helped save his life. I have been with UCLA for 10 years. My grandmother was a nurse and taught me compassion. It’s not about me, it’s about the patients, the visitors, the staff and the people coming here because their loved ones are sick. This is about helping others.”
