“She was the one who fell in love with me and I have never regretted being married,” says Rudolph Loebel, who found out he needed a trans-catheter aortic valve replacement and that his wife, Rachel Loebel, needed one as well. “They operated on me and my wife on exactly the same part. We didn’t need open heart surgery, because they went in through a valve in the lower part of the chest. UCLA saving our lives is the reason that we reached this age of 91. And I hope that God is going to give us a few more years to reach our diamond anniversary of 75 years.”
