Sherrie Thompson was diagnosed with ovarian cancer that had advanced to the point where the best option for treatment was a combination of chemotherapy and surgery. She's doing well, now, thanks to her multidisciplinary care team at UCLA Health - including gynecologic cancer surgeon and hematologist/oncologist . In fact, she is doing so well she's ready to travel: "Because you feel free," Thompson says. "You have no thoughts on your mind, no worries about anything."
