with Diana Winston and Guests
Join UCLA Mindful’s Director, Diana Winston, live online for a weekly opportunity to practice together and learn about different aspects of mindfulness. Each week we will explore a new theme or topic in mindfulness. Topics may include self-compassion, working with judgments, obstacles to meditation, dealing with difficult emotions, mindfulness in challenging times, the spectrum of awareness, and much more.
Each class will include a guided meditation, lecture, time for questions, and exercises related to the theme. Guest teachers will also visit the class. Check weekly for the schedule.
All levels of practice experience are welcome!

Are you feeling stressed out, anxious, worried, angry, or overwhelmed by the uncertainty of global events? Join a physician, a social worker, a yoga therapist, and the director of UCLA Mindful to address these thorny issues and provide some helpful tools and usable information to work with our minds and bodies. In this interactive program, we’ll look at the psychological and biological implications of stress. Then we’ll practice yoga and meditation specifically designed to help us access ease and well-being in the face of challenging outer circumstances.
Elizabeth Ko, MD is an internist and primary care physician and the Medical Director of the UCLA Health Integrative Medicine Collaborative.
Claire Pichel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters degree in Somatic Psychology and advanced training in perinatal mental health. She is passionate about holistic therapies and the transformative impact they can have on clients’ minds, bodies, and hearts.
Julie Rowland is a certified yoga who facilitates non-pharmacological approaches to health and wellness for UCLA Health's Integrative Medicine Collaborative as an Inpatient Integrative Therapist, as Director of Yoga Therapy, and as Director of Integrative Therapy for Women’s Cardiovascular Center.
Diana Winston is the Director of UCLA Mindful and a leading voice in contemporary mindfulness, with more than three decades of experience teaching practices that support health and well-being across medical, academic, and professional settings.
