DAISY Award recipients are registered nurses who exemplify the nursing values: Extraordinary Compassion, Respect, Excellence, Discovery, Integrity, and Teamwork daily.

Unity and Kindness Day: A Transformative Event to Promote Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Since 2022, UCLA Health’s Nursing Professional Governance Council, Unity in Diversity (UID), has hosted the annual Unity and Kindness Day (UKD). This in-person and online event promotes a healthier work environment through equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
The Nursing Professional Governance Council invites all UCLA Health staff, students, and faculty to join in enhancing workplace well-being, improving collaboration, promoting community engagement, and raising awareness of equity-minded principles.
