.Fabry Disease Awareness Month
This month is Fabry Disease Awareness Month. Fabry Disease is a genetic disorder that can be passed down from parents. In this disease state, the body is unable to break down fatty substances called lipids due to missing or faulty enzymes. Early diagnosis and an experienced, multidisciplinary medical team can provide the necessary care to slow down the progression of the disease and improve the quality of life in patients suffering from Fabry’s disease. Watch this video to learn more about the disease, its symptoms and treatment.
