About
Dr. Cristina Nguyen is a board-certified internal medicine physician practicing at UCLA Health in Pasadena. Her clinical interests include preventative medicine, chronic disease management, healthcare disparities, and medical education. Her goal is to deliver high-quality compassionate and comprehensive patient-centered care through a personalized approach to improve the quality of life for all patients.
Dr. Nguyen received her undergraduate degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine, with a minor in medical anthropology. She worked at OneLegacy, an Organ Procurement Organization, in Los Angeles prior to pursuing her medical degree. Dr. Nguyen earned her medical degree from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago. While at the Chicago Medical School, Dr. Nguyen concurrently received Master’s of Science degrees in both Health Administration and Biomedical Sciences. She completed her internal medicine residency training at Alameda Health System-Highland Hospital in Oakland with a focus in primary care.
Upon completing her residency training, Dr. Nguyen worked as a Dermatology Clinical Research Fellow at the University of California, Irvine, where she spearheaded both sponsor-initiated and investigator-initiated clinical trials on various dermatologic conditions, such as alopecia areata, atopic dermatitis, and psoriasis.
Dr. Nguyen is a Los Angeles native and is ecstatic to be home to serve her local community. Outside of her professional activities, Dr. Nguyen enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, going to the beach, attending concerts, and watching true-crime mysteries/romantic comedies. She also enjoys spending quality time with her husband, family, friends, and her two fur babies.
