About

Dr. Ivanna Maxson is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida. She graduated medical school from Loma Lina University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. Dr. Maxson trained at Baylor College of Medicine Texas Children’s hospital for her pediatric critical care medicine fellowship. She did additional training in critical care ultrasound and extracorporeal support at Texas Children’s hospital. Dr. Maxson is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care. Her research interests include critical care ultrasound education and health equity.
