Dr. Ch'ng is a pediatric hematology and oncology subspecialist, board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology. He provides outpatient pediatric hematology and oncology care at Children's Health Center (200 Medical Plaza, Westwood) and attends on the pediatric hematology/oncology inpatient service and provides inpatient consultant service at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital and UCLA Medical Center Santa Monica. He also serves as the director for the UCLA Pediatric CAR T Program.
Dr. Ch'ng received his bachelor's degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and earned his medical degree at the University of Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He completed his pediatric residency training and pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship training at the UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital in Los Angeles, where he studied the changes in cell metabolism that occur during infection by the oncogenic virus Epstein-Barr virus.
