Jeffrey W. Chen, DO

Dr. Jeffrey Chen is a primary care provider and sports medicine specialist at Woodland Hills. He is board-certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Chen completed his fellowship at Eisenhower Health, where he received special training in ultrasound-guided joint and soft tissue injections(shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, and ankle). His areas of expertise include minimally invasive orthopedic procedures, non-surgical management of musculoskeletal injuries, and injury prevention.

Dr. Chen is a ringside physician for USA Boxing and a team physician for USA Wrestling. He has been on the medical staff for high profile events such as the Junior Olympics, Ironman, PGA, WTA, and ATP.

Dr. Chen is a flight surgeon in the Army National Guard and deployed to Iraq during Operation Inherent Resolve. He spearheaded the establishment of a remote aero-medical treatment facility, and served as a forward physician on MEDEVAC helicopters, earning a campaign star as well as the Gentex Army Aviation Medicine Award. Additionally he has served on missions in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.

In his personal time, Dr. Chen enjoys training in martial arts from around the world including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Savate(boxe francaise), Indonesian silat, Filipino Kali, Japanese Shoot Wrestling, Jeet Kune Do, and mixed martial arts.
