Jesus G. Ulloa, MD

Dr. Ulloa is a vascular surgeon and educator with the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Affairs health system, and UCLA health. 

He obtained his MD from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine in 2011 during which time he also obtained his MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine as part of the Program in Medical Education for the Latino Community (PRIME-LC).  He pursued general surgery training at the University of California, San Francisco from 2011-2014, and 2016-2018 during which time he received the William Schecter Trauma resident of the year award in 2017, and Chesson Award for compassion in surgery in 2018.   From 2014-2016 he completed the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at the University of California, Los Angeles as a Veterans Affairs Fellow.  He obtained a Masters of Science in Health Policy and Management from the Fielding School of Public Health at UCLA in 2015.  From 2018-2020 he pursued fellowship training in endovascular, and vascular surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles.  Upon graduating from fellowship, he joined the fulltime faculty of the Greater Los Angeles VA where he is currently the Chief of the vascular surgery division. 

Dr. Ulloa maintains an active research interest focused on chronic limb threatening ischemia, and access to subspecialist services.
