About
Dr. John David (JD) Fernandez is a primary care physician who practices in Beverly Hills. His clinical interests include adult primary care, management of chronic health conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity, primary care for transgender and gender-diverse patients, and the transition of care for young adults into adult primary care.
Dr. Fernandez grew up in Kentucky and received his medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He also earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science from Northwestern University.
Dr. Fernandez has experience working with transgender and gender non-conforming patients in both rural and urban environments. He is the author of multiple peer-reviewed research articles on topics related to LGBTQ+ health. He is currently a clinical instructor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Outside of work, Dr. Fernandez enjoys singing, theater, video games, and meditation.
