About
Dr. Julian Davis is a hematologist and medical oncologist who practices in Santa Barbara. He sees patients with all types of cancer, with a specialized interest in hematologic malignancies, melanoma and clinical trials. He is board certified in hematology, medical oncology and internal medicine.
Dr. Davis completed his fellowship training in hematology and oncology at the University of California Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he served as co-chief fellow in his third year. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, and received his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Developmental Biology and his Master of Arts degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Prior to joining UCLA Health, Dr. Davis worked as a hematologist-oncologist at Santa Barbara's Ridley-Tree Cancer Center, where he served as the site principal investigator for several US Oncology Research (USOR) and Translational Research in Oncology (TRIO) clinical trials. He was an American Cancer Society Santa Barbara & Ventura medical honoree in 2020, and also received an Excellence in Teaching Award from the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program in 2020.
Dr. Davis was raised in Santa Barbara, and is incredibly grateful to be able to practice cutting edge care in his hometown. When he's not working, he is having fun with his wife and two young children, mountain biking, surfing, playing guitar, and eating tacos.
