About
Kathy Huen, MD, MPH, is a fellowship-trained pediatric urologist at UCLA. Dr. Huen is passionate about caring for infants, children and adolescents with conditions involving the kidneys, bladder, and genitalia. These include hydronephrosis, vesicoureteral reflux, spina bifida, hypospadias, undescended testes, and differences in sex development. As a surgeon, Dr. Huen has a focus in minimally invasive genital and urinary reconstruction.
Dr. Huen earned her undergraduate degree from Brown University and her medical doctorate from Emory University School of Medicine. She completed her urology residency training at UCLA, and her pediatric urology fellowship training under Dr. Antoine Khoury at Children’s Hospital of Orange County/ UC Irvine.
A dedicated researcher in the clinical and population health realms, Dr. Huen is committed to improving the quality of lives of adolescents and young adults with congenital conditions of the genitourinary tract.

Interests
Dr. Huen is interested the complex interplay of social determinants and healthcare delivery for adolescents and young adults with congenital conditions of the genitourinary tract. Dr. Huen earned her Master of Public Heath in Health Policy and Management at UCLA during her pediatric urology fellowship to better address the gaps in care delivery for individuals with urologic complexity.
