About
Keith S. Garb MD, PhD is a general internist and primary care physician. He also specializes in Allergy/Immunology and Pulmonary Medicine. He practices at the UCLA Health Motion Picture and Television Fund Medical Group.
Dr. Garb received his BA degree in Bacteriology from UCLA, and his MD and PhD degrees from Case Western Reserve University. He completed residency training in Internal Medicine and clinical fellowship training in Allergy/Immunology and Pulmonary Medicine at UCLA/VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Garb is an Epic-certified physician informaticist with UCLA Health. His current informatics interests include implementation of the ambulatory electronic health record, user support and training. He is keenly interested in strategies for customizing the electronic medical record to improve overall patient and physician experience.

This was my first visit with Dr. Garb, and it was a pleasant experience. All staff members were friendly and professional. Dr. Garb was extremely thorough and addressed the multitude of annual and age-related screenings and tests I need to undergo after avoiding them for the previous 5 years. So far, so good.

My doctor was pleasant and appeared thorough. However, his feedback on my lab results was minimal, only two words, "Looks good!" Since this is the one time per year that I see my physician for my annual exam, I am looking for more color and commentary, such as the YOY trend in my results. I wrote back to him on the portal and he called my back. He sounded annoyed or confused by my request but he did confirm that my changes from last year were improved. In summary, I find that my doctor visit is perfunctory and missing the human nuance that I am looking for about my health, with annual well visits.
