Lauren R. Waldron, MD

Dr. Lauren Waldron is an assistant professor in the UCLA Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Neurology. She specializes in neurodevelopmental disorders and general neurology.  Dr. Waldron also is part of UCLA LEND, a multidisciplinary group of professionals who work with families and individuals with ADHD, autism, and related conditions.

Dr. Waldron went to medical school at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed a categorical pediatric neurology residency (two years of pediatric residency and three years pediatric neurology fellowship) at UCLA. After residency, Dr. Waldron did a year-long fellowship in neurodevelopmental disorders at UCLA. Dr. Waldron received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley.

Dr. Waldron’s research and practice interests include developmental outcomes in patients with a history of epileptic encephalopathies, medical co-morbidities in autism patients, and behavioral pharmacology. She has given presentations at national conferences on headaches in autism, POTs in autism, and autism in patients with infantile spasms.

Dr. Waldron was born in Santa Monica, California but grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. There she was an avid mountain biker and skier, competing in downhill mountain bike racing from ages 9 to 18. She continues to enjoy both road and mountain biking, as well as hiking, tennis and boxing.

Dr. Waldron is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and Child Neurology Society.
