Mary M. Okimoto, NP

Mary Mott Okimoto is an oncology nurse practitioner in the UCLA Health San Luis Obispo office. In collaboration with physician Dr. Brian DiCarlo, she sees all types of cancer and hematology patients. She also sees pediatric oncology patients when it is possible, and coordinates their care with their primary pediatric oncologist, who can be located up to four hours away in a tertiary care center. Her goal is to enhance UCLA's ability to provide world class oncology services to patient’s from California’s Central Coast. 

Mary earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of San Francisco, and graduated as Valedictorian. She then earned her Master of Science and Nurse Practitioner license at UCSF.

Before joining UCLA Health, Mary worked at several of the top oncology hospitals in the country, including Stanford, UCSF and Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York.

When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three young children, traveling, watching her kids play sports, and exploring the Central Coast.
