About
Dr. Melissa Chung is a board-certified internal medicine and obesity medicine physician practicing at UCLA Health. Her primary care clinic is in Pasadena, and her obesity medicine clinic is in Burbank. Her goal is to develop meaningful patient-physician relationships centered on guiding patients towards living a healthy and fulfilling life. She works closely with patients to help achieve their weight loss goals through the UCLA Health medically-supervised weight loss program PRO (Program for Reducing Obesity). Note: Must have BMI 30 or above to be referred to PRO. New patient appointments are in-person only.
Dr. Chung graduated from the University of California Berkeley, and earned her medical degree from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She completed her internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and subsequently obtained an additional board certification in obesity medicine.
Dr. Chung is a Los Angeles native. Her interests include live music, dancing, exploring the local food scene, and the great outdoors. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dogs.
