Phillip Le, MD, PhD

Dr. Phillip Phuc Le, MD, PhD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and medical retina specialist at UCLA, and practices at Doheny Eye Center UCLA in Pasadena. He provides expert care for conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, vein occlusions, and age-related macular degeneration.

Dr. Le earned his BS and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He went on to complete both his MD and a PhD in Genetics at the University of Pennsylvania. Following his Ophthalmology residency at the Doheny Eye Institute at USC, where he served as Assistant Chief of Service, Dr. Le pursued advanced fellowship training in Medical Retina under the mentorship of Dr. Srinivas Sadda.

With a strong foundation in both medicine and engineering, Dr. Le is particularly interested in the integration of technology into medical care. He is an active member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and remains committed to advancing innovative treatments in retinal disease management.

Dr. Le welcomes patients from diverse backgrounds, including international visitors, and accepts a variety of private and governmental insurance plans, as well as self-pay options.
