About

Dr. Sarnoff is an internist who practices both traditional primary care and care for patients with disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI) in Westwood. She is board certified in internal medicine.

After completing a year of clinical training in complex DGBI care under her Neurogastroenterology mentors, she has launched the UCLA DGBI-Internal Medicine Clinic in which she approaches patients with these disorders from the holistic, interdisciplinary lens of an internist. Both in her DGBI and her primary care practices, Dr. Sarnoff is passionate about patient-centered care, medical trainee and faculty education, and clinical research. She helps train residents and medical students in ambulatory care, is a clinic faculty pod leader for residents, and also serves as part of the resident assessment committee.

Dr. Sarnoff received her medical degree from NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine internship and residency at UCLA, where she went on to complete her chief medical residency. She received her undergraduate degree from Brown University.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Sarnoff engages in clinical research. She is most interested in identifying factors that influence the risk of developing DGBI, such as early life adversity, psychological comorbidity, and immune and microbiome changes. She is currently completing a Master’s of Science in Clinical Research at UCLA. She is also a Career Enhancement Core scholar within the Chang-Mayer SCORE NIH research grant, where she serves as a clinical advisor for studies, aids in recruitment, and is running a project of her own.

Dr. Sarnoff was raised in New York City. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, playing games, singing with her husband, live music, and traveling.
