Dr. Robert Yamane is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician at UCLA Health Goleta. He previously saw patients at UCLA Health Calabasas and Motion Picture Television Fund, worked as a hospitalist in Ashland, OR, and was a physician in Conejo Valley/West Hills for over 20 years.
Dr. Yamane received his MD from UCLA, completed internship at UCLA/VA West LA, and residency at Cottage Hospital Santa Barbara. He also has two degrees in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (MS Stanford, BS UC Berkeley)
Dr. Yamane enjoys spending his free time with family and friends at the beach, and mountain biking.

I truly enjoyed my visit with my new doctor today. He was cordial and easy to talk to. I immediately noticed a difference with Dr. Yamane’s approach because he questioned me in detail about my family’s medical history. Excellent experience. Dr Yamane is a great listener with a very comforting demeanor and communication style. He is very thorough and insightful. We covered my health history and concerns in detail and set up tests and follow up appointments. However, he ordered general lab work (which we talk about) but without telling me what exactly is he testing for. He just said, the nurse will come to take your blood, and he was gone
