Saumya Pathak, MD

Dr. Pathak joined the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition directly upon completion of her Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital. Dr. Pathak received her medical degree from the Rush Medical College, in Chicago and then completed her pediatric residency training at Children's Hospital of Michigan, in Detroit. She then left her native Midwest for California to complete a fellowship at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital and decided to make sunny California her long-term home. Dr. Pathak is a board-certified pediatrician who is passionate about keeping her patients healthy and about increasing community outreach for the UCLA Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in order to provide better subspecialized care to children in need.

Dr. Pathak's clinical and research interests include general gastroenterology, nutrition, fatty liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and functional gastrointestinal disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome.
