Dr. Soroush Baghdadi is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the Director of the Center for Cerebral Palsy. He specializes in pediatric orthopaedic surgery, with a particular focus on neuromuscular conditions, hip preservation, and sports injuries in young athletes.
Dr. Baghdadi completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Tehran University of Medical Sciences before pursuing multiple advanced fellowships in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at institutions including The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Montefiore Children's Hospital, and Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Baghdadi is a dedicated researcher and educator, having contributed extensively to the field of pediatric orthopedics through numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and national and international presentations. His research interests include neuromuscular conditions, hip preservation techniques, gait analysis, musculoskeletal trauma, and pediatric sports medicine.
Dr. Baghdadi is an active member of several professional societies, including the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America (POSNA), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM). He has also served as a peer reviewer and editorial board member for leading orthopedic journals.
