Dr. Venus M. Oliva is a Southern California native who completed her Bachelor degree in Psychology and Master of Science in Global Medicine from USC. She completed her medical education as a part of the inaugural class at Campbell University in North Carolina, then moved to Philadelphia to complete a dual residency program in Family Medicine-Emergency Medicine at Thomas Jefferson Northeast Health system. She is currently working on her fellowship in Wilderness Medicine through Wilderness Medical Society.

The doctor felt dismissive and rushed. She didn’t explain all the prescriptions she issued and she failed to complete her notes so I had to call back to get an after visit summary.

She very thoroughly read my chart and she examined my leg closely. She explained that the rash on my leg is most likely fungal. She prescribed Clotrimazole and advised me to apply it twice a day for two weeks and also to schedule an appointment with my dermatologist right away. She was extremely helpful.

Dr Oliva was great. Audio and video were good. Although I heard a lotta background chatter, maybe from other video calls near her. It was distracting but I still can hear everything dr Oliva was saying .

I came in for a bladder infection, which I've had before and am very aware of exactly was wrong with me. I love this office of UCLA because it is so simple - no long waits in Emergency or begging for a time with your doctor. Here's what's wrong; they check it out; they come up with a solution. I love it; kudos to you for dreaming it up; and parking is FREE.

Dr. Venus Oliva is not very friendly. She’s very authoritative and should take a more personable-approach as a physician. I would not recommend her to any of my loved ones. I did not feel seen or heard by her, it was more like going through the motions or simply doing a job.
