Vivian L. Qin, MD

Dr. Vivian L. Qin is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA Department of Ophthalmology and a glaucoma specialist at Doheny Eye Center UCLA, where she sees both Glaucoma and Comprehensive patients in Pasadena and Arcadia. She provides expert care in managing complex glaucoma cases while advancing the field through medical education and research.

Dr. Qin graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in molecular biology and a certificate in global health and health policy. She earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society. Following her internship at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, she completed her ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Qin further specialized by completing a glaucoma fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.

Her research spans clinical ophthalmology, including studies on glaucoma, retinal vascular diseases, and surgical outcomes, with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals. A dedicated educator, Dr. Qin is committed to mentoring the next generation of ophthalmologists and contributing to the growth of medical knowledge.
