William Sheppard MD MPH is an Orthopaedic Spine Specialist with dual appointments at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and UCLA, specializing in advanced spine care and cutting-edge research. Trained at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute, Dr. Sheppard brings world-class expertise in the latest spine surgery technologies, including ultrasonic equipment, robotics, and image-guided techniques. Dr Sheppard is skilled in 360-spine care, from minimally invasive to deformity-based techniques. His research focuses on 4 key areas: (1) cervical spine clinical outcomes, (2) basic science murine models of spinal infection prevention and management, (3) innovations in endoscopic spine surgery, and (4) spinal trauma and cord injury management. Dr. Sheppard is dedicated to improving patient care through both clinical practice and translational research.
