This was my first time at a ucla immediate care office. The doctor was pleasant and professional. However, my experience just didn’t feel nearly as high as the usual standard I get at UCLA with medical care. He didn’t take the time to review my record. The examination was brief just to ensure there was no medical emergency. There wasn’t any really guidance/resolution or direction forward for my concern

Overall, great. He mentioned if my knee swelling was complimented by redness which i told him i don’t know if i would see that. Then he proceeded to say if it got red to call my doctor. As a Black man i didn’t think that was an appropriate symptom to try to monitor the progression of my knee injury. I just wanted to note it as an opportunity for improvement.

He walked in seemed in a rush asking about my issue took a Quick Look. Gave me a diagnostic I must go to PCP due to med history they may know better. My PCP looks t the record before seeing me. Test could be done but go see PCP culture could be done go see PCP. I think things could have been started until I see PCP.

I?m 84 years old and fell last night trying to retrieve a book from a high bookcase. My back and head were involved in the fall and I was told to go to Urgent Care by a nurse I spoke with on the phone. The doctor was extremely thorough checking me out, with many physical tests & questions.

I came today with my main concern being a sinus infection with fear that it may have spread to my ear and eye. He could see infection in my ear and gave me antibiotics for that but dismissed the symptoms I described about my sinuses including a fever, coughing up a lot of phlegm, sometimes tinged with blood and crust in my nostril. He pushed on part of my face and asked if it hurt and I said no and said that means I had no sign of a sinus infection. Later after I walked out I pushed near where he did and it did hurt so I think he just pushed on the wrong spots. Thankfully the antibiotics should wipe out the sinus infection as well but he could've offered Flonase or something for my sinus issues so I can breath through my nose when I sleep at night. Overall, I hope in the future this doctor listens with more empathy and care to his patients and their concerns.

The doctor was very dismissive. Made me feel like a hypochondriac. He spent very little time listening to me. Did not listen to my chest or touch my lymph nodes. I asked for an oral thrush test and he told me he didn’t think there was one and that it didn’t look like I had it.

This is the 4th time I’ve been seen for this issue (including one trip to an emergency room while out of state) over the last month. It has waxed and waned. It’s been weird. And it’s very possible that I originally had a bacterial infection which cleared up and now I have a viral infection. But I feel awful and am in pain. The doctor told me to use over the counter medications and come back in 10 days if I hadn’t improved. He offered no suggestions and no compassion.

I felt like he didn’t listen to what I was saying. I told him I had a severe cough since Monday and felt like I couldn’t breathe sometimes when laying down and having coughing fits. He told me it didn’t sound like anything major since it’s just a cough, but if I had trouble breathing, sore throat, or lumps I need to come back. I just told him about having trouble breathing though. I felt like this appointment was a waste of $25 co pay. Zero bedside manner from this doctor. I wish my concerns were taken seriously.

This is the second time seeing this doctor and being that my son has been there 5 times in the last few weeks, I would expect more. He questioned whether or not I knew what a low grade fever was. This office usually has great doctors and care. I was not pleased with this visit or the last visit with this doctor. The nurse that completed the vitals was amazing.

I went to UCLA Urgent Care Center in North Hollywood. Everyone was very cordial, starting from the receptionist, the nurse and the Doctor. Dr. Lee checked the injured toe and prescribed antibiotics for seven days. He said to come back if there was more blood under the toe or if the pain continued.
