UCLA West Valley Medical Center, formerly West Hills Hospital, joined UCLA Health in March 2024, expanding access to world-class care for residents of the San Fernando Valley and beyond. Located on a 14-acre campus, this 260-bed community hospital strengthens UCLA Health’s commitment to providing exceptional, high-quality care, closer to home.

World-Class Patient Care
UCLA West Valley Medical Center offers a full range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services, delivered with compassion, convenience and clinical expertise. It includes an expansive emergency department (ED), which is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is the only UCLA Health hospital with a dedicated Burn Center, one of the only burn programs in the region offering both inpatient and outpatient care.
UCLA Health hospitalists now provide inpatient care at UCLA West Valley Medical Center, bringing the exceptional care you trust closer to home. When you or your loved ones need hospital care, you’ll have access to UCLA Health’s renowned expertise right in your community.
To support critically injured patients, the hospital features an on-site helipad atop the emergency department for rapid transport. The emergency department is a STEMI receiving center and is pediatric certified.

Floor-By-Floor
The 1st floor features the main lobby and patient admitting area, along with a café for visitors and staff. It also houses the emergency department, gastrointestinal (GI) lab and business offices.
The 2nd floor houses critical and surgical services. This includes the intensive care unit (ICU), the dedicated burn ICU, radiology and imaging services, the hospital’s main operating rooms (ORs), cardiac catheterization labs, and the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
The 3rd floor features same-day surgery services, providing pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing outpatient procedures.
The 4th floor is home to the UCLA Health Regional Burn Center, which includes 27 inpatient beds, a hydrotherapy room and two hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers. This floor also includes the orthopedic inpatient unit.
The 5th floor includes general medical-surgical and telemetry inpatient units, supporting patients who require continuous monitoring and routine hospital care.
The 6th floor houses additional inpatient units, including cardiac telemetry units for patients who need advanced heart monitoring and specialized cardiovascular care.
