Narine Oganyan, MHA
Director of Audiology and Speech Pathology
Narine Oganyan provides oversight for all inpatient and outpatient Audiology and Speech Pathology services within the UCLA Health System. She joined the UCLA Health team in 2009. She earned a Master of Health Administration from USC’s Price School of Public Policy and a Graduate Certificate in Health Systems Operations from USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering. Narine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is passionate about operations, processes, qualitative and quantitative analyses and supporting the delivery of high quality patient care.
Gina M. Gracia, AuD
Audiology Manager
Gina Gracia, AuD joined UCLA Audiology Clinic in 1999 after receiving her M.A. in Audiology from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She completed her AuD in 2007 at University of Florida, Gainesville. Dr. Gracia has provided patient care for all ages that include hearing evaluations, hearing aids, and cochlear implants. She was also the primary audiologist for the UCLA Craniofacial Clinic.
Rose Levi
Operations Manager
Rose Levi is the Operations Manager for Audiology & Speech Clinic. She has worked with the Audiology and Speech Clinic since 2001 and joined UCLA in 1998 working in various departments. Rose is an alumnus of the UCLA Staff Enrichment Program and Ambulatory Lean Academy. Rose ensures that both departments function efficiently and effectively. Her goal is to build strong teams to support and improve the patient care experience. She prioritizes diversity, models inclusion, and practices cultural humility. Rose is passionate about healthcare providing the opportunity to help people in their most vulnerable and unexpected life events.
Christine Malikian, MHA
Process Manager
Christine Malikian received her graduate degree in Healthcare Administration with a Certificate in Management of Ambulatory Care Systems from University of Southern California. She completed her administrative residency at UCLA Health in the Audiology and Speech Pathology department. Christine holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Healthcare Administration from University of Southern California. She is passionate about using her analytical and problem-solving skills to improve performance, processes and quality of care.
Carlen Kim, AuD
Audiology Supervisor
Carlen Kim, AuD has been a practicing audiologist since 2001, with special interests in pediatrics and cochlear implants. She received graduate degrees from California State University Northridge and the University of Florida and has been providing audiology services for patients of all ages at UCLA since 2004.
Wendy Ayala
Cochlear Implant Coordinator
Wendy Ayala has worked in various administrative roles with Audiology and Head and Neck at UCLA since 2008. Wendy has been the Cochlear Implant Coordinator since 2019, where she works closely with patients and their families as they maneuver through their cochlear implant journeys. She provide support for the audiologists and Head and Neck Surgeons to ensure that all patients receive the highest quality of care.
Rebecca B. Gebremichael, AuD
Senior Audiologist
Rebecca Belay Gebremichael, Au.D., earned her graduate degree in Audiology from A. T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California State University, Northridge. She completed her doctoral internship at Shohet Ear Associates in Newport Beach, California, gaining valuable experience working with patients of all ages.
Dr. Gebremichael's passion for audiology extends beyond the clinic, as she has spent several years participating in audiological medical mission trips to Ethiopia through the nonprofit organization Healing the Children. This experience has allowed her to provide much-needed audiological care to underserved communities. Dr. Gebremichael works with both adult and pediatric patients. She has been part of the UCLA Audiology team since 2014. She is bilingual in English and Amharic.
Monica Jones, AuD
Senior Audiologist
Monica Jones, AuD, is a Senior Audiologist at UCLA Audiology Clinic. She earned her doctorate degree in Audiology from A.T. Still University, after completing her doctoral externship at UCLA Audiology Clinic. Dr. Jones is currently the primary audiologist for the UCLA Craniofacial Clinic.
Arineh Khachatoorians, AuD
Senior Audiologist
Arineh Khachatoorians, AuD, has a diverse background in the field in both diagnostic and rehabilitation Audiology. Dr. Khachatoorians received her Doctorate of Audiology degree from San Diego State University/University of California San Diego, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders with emphasis in Audiology from California State University, Northridge. In 2014, she joined the UCLA Audiology Team where she provides audiology care to patients of all ages.
Kelsey Kerkhove, AuD
Senior Audiologist
Kelsey Kerkhove, AuD, CCC-A, is the inpatient audiologist and Newborn Hearing Screening Program Coordinator at UCLA Ronald Reagan and Santa Monica Hospital. Dr. Kerkhove earned her Bachelor’s in Science from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and her Doctorate in Audiology from Purdue University as well. She also holds her ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
Denise Kidd-Conover, AuD
Senior Audiologist
Denise Kidd-Conover, AuD, has been practicing audiology since 2008, and obtained her graduate degree at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. She has special interests in pediatric and adult diagnostics as well as pediatric and adult rehabilitation, including hearing aids and cochlear implants. Denise is a former board member and task force member on the Student Academy of Audiology.
Samantha McKinney, AuD
Senior Audiologist
Samantha McKinney, AuD, earned her Doctorate of Audiology degree at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at San Diego State University. She completed her externship at House Institute Care Center and USC Caruso Family Center for Childhood Communication. Dr. McKinney has special interests in pediatric and adult diagnostics and rehabilitation, including hearing aids and cochlear implants.
Dr. McKinney was born with severe hearing loss has a particular passion for helping those with hearing loss achieve their goals.
Christine Melgoza
Audiology Assistant
Christine Melgoza has been a licensed audiology assistant since 2017. Prior to joining UCLA in 2019, Christine was an audiology assistant at a private practice audiology and hearing aid dispensing clinic. She supports the audiologists and patients with basic hearing aid troubleshooting for the “walk-in” clinic. Christine helps process the administrative tasks related to hearing aids including back office incoming and outgoing shipments. She enjoys helping patients with their hearing aids.
Anahita Moshfegh, AuD
Senior Audiologist
Anahita Moshfegh, AuD received her undergraduate and graduate degree in Audiology from Indiana University, Bloomington in Audiology, 1997. She earned her Doctorate of Audiology degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville, 2002. Her experiences include working at WLA VA. Additionally, she was a research assistant at UCLA on studies investigating the effects of lexical difficulty and stimulus variability of speech perception. Her specialties include diagnostic audiology and hearing aids treatment/rehabilitation for adults. She is fluent in Farsi.
Rachael Salin, AuD
Senior Audiologist
Rachael Salin, AuD, earned her Doctorate of Audiology degree at Arizona State University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Science at Washington State University. She completed her externship at Mayo Clinic Arizona. Dr. Salin provides audiology services for patients of all ages.
Danielle Snodgrass, AuD
Senior Audiologist
Danielle Snodgrass, AuD, has been practicing at UCLA Audiology Clinic since 2007. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science at the University of Colorado, Boulder and doctorate of Audiology degree at the University of Florida, Gainesville. Dr. Snodgrass has previously presented at the American Academy of Audiology Conference on the topic of cochlear implants.
Katy Sullivan, AuD
Senior Audiologist
Katy Sullivan, AuD has more than 20 years’ experience as an audiologist. She obtained her graduate degrees at San Francisco State University and Central Michigan University. She is a Southern CA native and bilingual in Spanish and English. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and is happy to be part of the UCLA Audiology team.
Maureen Virts, AuD
Senior Audiologist
Maureen Virts, AuD has an extensive background in the field of audiology. She received her Doctorate of Audiology from Vanderbilt University and completed her Externship at the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center. She worked as a pediatric audiologist at the University of Chicago prior to working for UCLA. Dr. Virts provides both inpatient and outpatient care to both pediatric and adult patients.
