What is Performance Strategy & Analytics?

Performance Strategy and Analytics (PS&A) is the go-to resource for data analysis and consulting at UCLA. As part of the UCLA Health Analytics Group, the PS&A provides high-quality business intelligence products and self-service tools for UCLA Health professionals working in cancer, and seeks to empower the wider cancer-focused public health and research communities at UCLA.

PS&A Teams and Services

Multiple PS&A teams provide extensive analytical capabilities, products and services. These include:

• System Support Assists the analytics needs of all system-wide projects and various steering committees.
• Department Support Services data and analytics for UCLA Health departments, including support on Tableau dashboards, and other system-level efforts such as HEDI, UCOP, USNWR Adults and Peds, and Vizient
• Programming Provides solutions for all areas of patient care. PS&A collaborates with end users to design, develop and deploy high-quality reporting solutions utilizing UCLA Health's tools and infrastructure.
• Cancer Registry The UCLA Cancer Registry plays a significant role in measuring progress, cancer prevention, and improvements in cancer treatment modalities. The PS&A helps to ensure UCLA’s cancer patient population data aids providers, public health officials, and researchers both at UCLA and internationally.
