Scientific Interests

Dr. Teshome's career is devoted to advancing the care of women and men with breast cancer through high quality patient care, collaborative clinical research, education and promoting equity in health care and society. Her primary clinical and research interest is in breast cancer and specifically advanced breast cancers including inflammatory breast cancer, rare breast cancers and surgical management after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Additionally, Dr. Teshome is passionate about surgical education and career development in breast surgical oncology, addressing disparities in breast cancer care, elevating the patient voice and advocacy/health policy.
