Scientific Interests
Dr. Yang has a longstanding interest in cellular immunology related to HIV pathogenesis, but this area is highly relevant to cancer. He published a paper on chimeric antigen receptors in 1998, and has continued to do CAR research. He has also been interested in bi-specific T cell engager antibodies as therapeutics, and recently is interested in designing immunotherapy for HPV-associated cancers.
