Scientific Interests
Dr. Ting-Ting Wu's primary research interest is to understand how tumor-associated herpesviruses evade the host defense. Her lab studies the molecular mechanisms and cellular pathways that the virus exploits to down-regulate type I interferon responses. Her goal is to manipulate these viral immune evasion mechanisms for rational design of safe, highly attenuated viruses to be used as vaccines with the ability to elicit robust adaptive immune responses for cancer.
