Carla Gonzalez Completes CESLAC Accelerating Latinx Leadership Institute Program

Carla Gonzalez, Manager of OAST and Business Projects, completed the CESLAC Accelerating Latinx Leadership (ALL) Institute "Advancing Health Equity through Latinx Leadership" program. The program launched to develop Latinx leaders last year by Dr. David Hayes-Bautista and Seira Greenwood. Carla joined the second cohort and was the recipient of a scholarship sponsored by Dr Hayes-Bautista. The program was focused on the Latinx Double Impostor Syndrome, Latinx and the US racial narrative, the Latino Epidemiological Paradox, the US Latino Gross Domestic Product, Leadership and why it matters, and navigating difficult conversations. The cohort was composed of UCLA faculty, trainees, nurses, staff as well as members of Kaiser, UCSF, and many other organizations. The program proved to be powerful and made a strong impact on Carla both personally and professionally.
