FAER Academic Giving Competition 2022

The UCLA DAPM is thrilled to take part in the inaugural FAER Academic Giving Competition supporting the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER)!

The Academic Giving Competition – or AGC – has started! And we’re in a fun (but fierce) competition with 17 other departments to raise funds for FAER and its mission to develop the next generation of physician-investigators.   

Many of you know FAER. Some of you have received a FAER grant, participated in its MSARF or RSP programs, or served as mentors for its grantees. In any case, we all benefit from FAER’s work. You can learn more about FAER here.   

Led by Soban Umar, MD, PhD, we aim to win the AGC! Winning is done by either raising the most money or having the most people donate. On the line are bragging rights, a fun trophy to help with the bragging, and – most importantly – a Grand Rounds from FAER leaders!  

The AGC ends at 11:59 PM CT on Monday, October 24. Here’s how to donate and lead us to victory:

  2. Click the ‘Donate’ button under the Thermometer. 

  3. On the donation page, make sure our university is shown as the ‘Donation Recipient’ at the top.  

  4. Complete the information on the donation page and click ‘Complete Donation’.  

  5. You’re done! A receipt will be emailed to you.  

Our goal is to raise $2000 by October 24! We need you to help us get there. Donations at any level ($25 minimum) are wonderful, appreciated, and help us win.
