Where did you grow up? Where did you complete your education and certifications?
I come from the port city of Talcahuano, Chile, and the countryside of Polcura near the Andes. I earned my bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in P.E. from Universidad de Concepción and a Diploma in Exercise Physiology from Universidad de la Frontera. I also studied in Australia and achieved a master's degree in Nutrition and Health Promotion at the Universidad de Chile. I am certified in Exercise Physiology by the American College of Sports Medicine.

What was your childhood dream?
As a child, I dreamed of becoming a scientist and an explorer. I was always curious and eager to learn more about the universe, the human body, and nature. My passion for staying active led me to practice multiple sports in my childhood and youth. The interest in exercise physiology came later, sparked by my high school biology teacher.

What is your favorite way to spend a day off?
On my ideal day off, I start with a sunrise coffee, hit the gym, then go for an exhilarating bike ride or hike. I enjoy a scenic snack break (dark

chocolate included) and later meet friends for a lively meal. The day ends with a beautiful sunset at a breathtaking lookout point, capping off a day full of adventure and great company.

What is your favorite TV show, and why?
Game of Thrones is one of my all-time favorite shows for many reasons. Watching it with friends added to the excitement and shared experience of eagerly anticipating each new season. The show's crazy plotlines, awesome characters, and huge world-building kept us hooked and fueled endless discussions and theories long after each episode aired. But the final season brought a rollercoaster of emotions. While it got me hyped, I was bummed out by how some storylines wrapped up. Still, the show's impact and its knack for sparking heated debates about characters, themes, and storytelling choices are undeniable and make it one of the GOAT.

Tell us a little about your family (and any pets).
My family, based in Chile, consists of my Mama, Papa, brothers, and Kira (the family dog). I can share that they have taught me a deep love for nature, the importance of having a healthy lifestyle, and my integrative values as an individual. My brothers are engineers, and they like playing the guitar, while I was the one who loved dancing (good times come to mind, and really miss that). The youngest plays different instruments in a local folk band in Chile.

My wife, Pamela, is my closest family here in LA, and she is undeniably my favorite person! She is a dedicated researcher at UCLA. We have embarked on a journey that took us from Santiago to NYC and now to LA, where we have hope to settle down. Although we currently don't have any pets, we are eagerly looking forward to having a puppy in the future.

How would your friends and family describe you?
My buddies often describe me as someone who's always up for new and exciting activities, and I love encouraging them to join in on the fun.
