Kyle Scranton, BS and Lejla Medzikovic, PhD were awarded the top poster prizes at the , which took place on October 20-21, 2022 at UCLA's Grand Horizon Room. Kyle was granted the 1st Place Poster Award for his research poster entitled, "The Mechanism of Action of Cardiac Glycosides Leverages the Sodium-dependent Inactivation of the Sodium-Calcium Exchanger to Elevate Intracellular Calcium." Lejla's research poster was entitled "Small leucine-rich proteoglycan Asporin represses smooth muscle cell proliferation and regulates pulmonary hypertension development" and earned the 2nd Place Poster Award.
